I know the words "rehearsal" and "wedding" in the same sentence might sound a tad intimidating, but I promise - it’s nothing like the movies!
When it comes to rehearsing with me, think of it as more of a friendly get-together rather than a rigid practice session. It's all about making you feel at ease and giving you a sneak peek into what to expect on the big day. We won't be reciting the entire ceremony verbatim—just a relaxed run-through to familiarize you with the flow and structure.
Whether we meet up in person or virtually, the goal remains the same: to ensure you feel comfortable and confident. Have burning questions about the ceremony? Need reassurance that everything is well-organized? We can chat over a cup of coffee, a virtual call, or even a stroll in the park—wherever works best for you!
Now, if your bridal party resembles a small army, you have a troop of energetic children, or some unique rituals or elements to coordinate, meeting at the venue might be the way to go.
As for the nitty-gritty details like music cues and venue setup, even if I can't physically be there, I'll arm you with all the tips and guidance you need to navigate those waters with ease with your Venue Coordinator.
So, whether we're meeting up for a cozy chat at a cafe, or exchange virtual high-fives, we will be able to make sure we you are feeling calm, confident and excited in the lead up to your big day.
A wedding, while an incredibly important day for those getting married, is also about the people who love them most. Friends and family are often a big part of your wedding day and so, it might seem natural for them to come to the rehearsal too. Life is busy - and this is not always possible, so please, be assured if your Wedding Party cannot make it - I will guide them on the day so they know where to be when the moment comes.
If you’ll have attendants walking down the aisle ahead of you, I’ll make sure they know how to best carry themselves, when to set off, where to travel to, and what to do when they get there. I’ll also take the time to ensure all wedding party members are ‘ceremony ready’, making sure to readjust accessories and remove phones, keys, and wallets from pockets to alleviate weird bulges in all your favourite photos..
If you or your partner will be wearing a dress with a long train, I’ll also make sure a member of your wedding party knows that they’re the ‘conductor’. They’ll be in charge of straightening the train at the end of the aisle, as well as removing any sticks or leaves that might have hitched a ride.
